The MicroConsignment Model
As a solution tailored towards countries with an isolated supply of menstrual products to rural villages, we are incorporating the MicroConsignment Model. This model makes it easier for women to access pads right in their local villages. It starts with hiring and teaching local women to become entrepreneurs in their own communities. They will learn to market and sell the pads to those in their communities, which results in a win-win situation where they get income, and the other villagers are able to buy pads. For the execution, AuNaturel will be the supplier and consign the pads to the entrepreneurs, so there’s no financial liability on their end. Once they generate revenue, they pay back the wholesale price and keep the remaining profits.
