The Beauty of Banana

A sustainable natural resource surplus

Our core material is distinctive. Instead of utilizing cotton, the most common material used to create sanitary pads, we will be using banana fiber. Not only do they not contain pesticides and other chemicals that are harmful to the body, but we are also reducing waste. Currently, the fibers are harvested from the banana plant’s trunk, which is normally unused after the banana fruit is harvested, and goes to waste. We will then take the trunk and condense it down to fibers to be used for production. To do this, we intend on partnering with the Banana Producers Association in Ghana to coordinate agreements with farmers to harvest fiber from banana trunks in order to create our products.
